Mr. Flowers sooooooooo glad my life makes you laugh and gives you good material for your stand-up!!! LMAO
ANYHOO, I digress. I wanted to start last night at 01-11-11 at 11:11 p.m. symbolic right??? Well I was mad tired after my workout and all I could do was crawl upstairs and fall into the shower. Mutha was sore. Ok so my 21 day challenge is to live a healthier lifestyle - Mind, Body and Soul. My new path will be an exciting journey into a new, improved, and enlightened Keisha. I got rid of my gym membership and purchased the Wii for the house. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Dancing (did I mention I love dancing lol) so I purchased the MJ Experience (pausing for a moment of silence for the King of Pop..this game is BANANAS!!! who knew he did all those moves in one song??), Zumba (used to take this at the Y and got such an awesome workout couldn't wait to get it for the Wii), Just Dance 2 (my daughter loves to challenge me to dance offs), and Wii Active ~ more workouts (NOW this game gives me the BEST workout I am still sore from last night). So my goal is to work out with one of those games at least five nights a week. Eventually before the end of 21 days I want to be able to work out in the morning as well. So far I've been working out at least five nights a week since Christmas. YEA Me!!!!! :-)
I' also like to work on me. As I said in my introduction video I lost Keisha along the way. I am recently divorced and my marriage was not the best, hence the divorce. But during that time I became a person that I didn't recognize. I am a touchy feely always smiling type of person and I noticed I had lost my genuine smile. So another component of reclaiming Keisha is starting to do things that are outside of my comfort zone...entertaining the idea of jumping back in the dating pool (no comments Mike! lol), traveling more, and doing activities - dance lessons, attending Broadway shows, etc. AND most important of all finding and rescuing that smile and laughter that is contagious to all who are blessed to witness it :-)
I think I'm off to a great start and by the looks of other's blogs so are my fellow 21 Day'ers. I look forward to this journey and learn more about you guys and possibly learning a thing or two about me along the way.
Peace and many blessings
Keisha........NAMASTE!

HELLOOO Fellow 21day'ers. I fell off for two days. I fell yesterday and bruised my knee something bad and ankle is still sore. SOOO I will be hitting the Wii Sunday after class. Oh yea, my graduate classes started today. I'm so excited. So I guess I did accomplish one of my goals today because as soon as I log off I will be studying and preparing for tomorrow's class. :-)
    Until my next post.
    Namaste!! Keisha

Oh wow, I've been totally slacking when it comes to posting. I'm soooooo sorry. I actually have been sticking somewhat close to my challenge. When I wasn't working out I was studying and preparing for class which is one of my goals.
Last night I did play a couple of games of bowling on the Wii. Didn't work up a sweat like I do when I do Zumba or Wii Active but I say 30 minutes of activity is better than 30 minutes laying on the couch. :-)
I'm going to try to get in an hour of Dancing (Just Dance2 think my Mini-Me is in the need of a dance off showdown and the MJ Experience feeling the need to moonwalk for some reason. lol) AND if I can get through all of that I will end with Wii Active. I'm also working on a project for my class that deals with eating disorders and body images. How wild is that??? So between tonight and tomorrow I will be working on my research.
    Until the next post...
    Good luck in your journey,
    Namaste!!

p.s. Going to start chanting again this weekend. When I chant I feel much more focused. Another goal I need to work on.

I am feeling a little overwhelmed partly because I'm feeling like such a slacker because I have not been blogging like I should. Maybe my 21 day challenge should be to blog every night..lol
I truly can not say that I worked out at all this weekend. Although, I am a part-time massage therapist and I had three clients this weekend and all three were TIGHT so I had to work extra hard. Unfortunately, I have arthritis in my hands so my hands are killing me. I also washed about 10 loads of clothes (don't judge me I just haven't had time lol) so that counts as working out as well RIGHT??? I just finished one paper for class. I also had one due Friday night. So I've been focusing on the school thing (part of my goals). I have two more papers to write along with two presentations for my class which ends this weekend!! Whoo-hooo!!! I'm almost half way done my grad school courses. :-)
Anyway, my goal is to get in some serious working out tomorrow night. I'll keep you posted.
Peace and many blessings until next time,
    Namaste!

Brought a new workout video for the Wii tonight. It's called 10 Minute Workout Solution or something like that. It has a bunch of cardio workouts. Mainly boxing which is what I've been searching for..I worked out with different boxing routines and let me just say I am dead tired. Wanted to post this prior to jumping in the shower and falling out afterwards...WHEW, where is MY massage therapist when this MT needs one??? Gesh!
Until the next time.. Happy Posting!!
    Namaste!!

Ummmm can a sista get a Mulligan/Do Over??? I'm on a serious mission now. My 91 yr old Grammie in the Bahamas is not doing well. So I just surprised my mother and daughters (well the girls don't know yet) with tickets to Nassau during my oldest, Elonra's, spring break. So not only will I be spending time and making sure my Grammie is ok (Just need to see her face and touch her hand then I'll be good)but plan on spending PLENTY time on the beach. As of today, Feb. 18, 2011 I am SOOO not beach ready. LOL I'm back on track I have a goal date of April 25 and started back with my 10 Minute Workout. I did ten 10 minute boxing workouts. I love it because you get a full body workout. LOVE it, however, I'm saying that now who knows what my body is going to be saying in the am. lol
With all that being said. BAAAABY (in my best Mo'Nique voice) BahamaMami is BACK and focused Man!!! Muah!!!
