What can you say about a woman that seemingly has it all...Personality, Beauty, Smarts and Style? The thing you gotta love about her is that she always wants MORE! Tamika has shared with me that the habit she wants to create is to make it a practice to live a more well balanced lifestyle by working out and eating healthier. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." One of her other desires is to up her Salsa game. Let us all support Tamika as she dances her way into this 21 DAY CHALLENGE...

2 days down. el primer dia.. Sweet pepper, tomato and onion omelet for breakfast w/ lots of crush red pepper.. yummy! I was going through some stuff that had me emotionally drained- really wanted to stay on the couch but it felt too easy to succumb to that....to put off my goals and postpone to another day... I managed to push through those feelings and get up off my butt. The fresh cold air was just what I needed to put everything into perspective...so I took a nice, very brisk walk in the park...that was about 3.5 miles - very invigorating!!! Yippee!!! Later, I prepared whole wheat pasta and marinara. No wine with that :( had a few nuts apricots and prunes and a nice tall glass of water to wash it down. 2nd day...Anticipated: a long work day, 2 after-work meetings, a dreaded and uncomfortable conversation.. Yikes!!! How do I fit it all in AND my habit forming activities on top... Well,you start the day with your habit forming activity... to kick the day off.. I needed yoga... ah whoosaa... really opened me up to receive today's blessings. Those moves were no joke... practice makes perfect. breakfast iced coffee and an apple, lunch was left overs... dinner was salad and pasta. A few cashew nuts as snack and 4 glasses of water this night. The dreaded convo- not so bad once past the initial discomfort :) **note to self-- drink more water during day --uhm...I am still up at 4 am.. wired.. need better sleep habits.. this one cannot be good. gmorning! ciao!

So I've fallen down on the job here. However not to far whereas I cannot get back up. I have not done my 21-day challenge as well as I hoped. I have however maintained consistency with my Salsa class. whoohoo. I LOVE Salsa class... the partnering is so much fun. I have also been preparing my home-cooked meals utilizing pantry items to avoid wastefulness. My stock is dwindling down and I look forward to restocking with more healthy items. I'm on jury duty this coming week and my gym is right across the street from the court house. I have no excuse so i am excited about spin class this week. Saturday's class was intense.. i liked it.. though my behind was sooooore!!! Geesh! LOL! Legs burned nicely! Ha! anyway.. onward and upward! I will ultimately accomplish my goals!!!
